BULK ORGANIC FEED

In response to the lack of affordable organic feed sources on the Coast, Persephone provides a bulk feed supply program for livestock owning neighbours here on the Coast. Please sign up if you are interested and share this page with others who may want to take advantage of this program.

The goal of the program is to help local farmers become more profitable by providing access to certified organic bulk feed locally and at a cost comparable to (or less than) the current cost of non-organic bagged feed available through local retailers.  As a secondary goal we’d like to see a reduction in packaging waste from bagged feed (i.e. fewer bags).

+ TYPES OF FEED

The feed is a certified organic mash (i.e. mix of crushed ingredients) containing 100% of the animal's nutritional requirements. You can purchase by the full 5 gallon pail (approx 14kg), by the 30 gallon resealable and reusable plastic drum (85kg), or by the full 1 ton tote bag (you must be able to pick up a full pallet for this option).

+ WHAT'S THE COST?

For the 5 gallon pail and 30 gallon drum option, you'll need to make a one-time purchase of one of our new standard sized pails or drums when you pick up your first order. For subsequent pickups just drop off the empty one and pick up a full one. Both the 5 gallon pail and 30 gallon drum options are only available for pickup at Persephone Brewing (1053 Stewart Road, Gibsons) while the Tasting Room is open.
